G-MARINE OSC-1809 SURFACE WASHING AGENT GETS ON THE EPA'S NCP LIST*
Non-toxic solution is now available to assist in the Gulf Oil Spill cleanup efforts
Green Earth Technologies (OTCQB: GETG) announced today (7/7/10) that they have satisfied the requirements contained in Title 40 of the CFR section 300.915 of the National Oil and Hazardous Substance Pollution Contingency Plan (NCP), allowing G-MARINE(tm) OSC-1809 Surface Washing Agent to be listed on the NCP Product Schedule under the Surface Washing Agent category. The surface washing agent may now be authorized for use by Federal On-Scene Coordinators in accordance with 40 CFR section 300.910 and within 2 weeks, will be posted on the Environmental Protection Agency's website (www.epa.gov/emergencies/content/ncp/index.htm) in the Product Schedule and the Technical Notebook.
Surface Washing Agents are identified as a product that will clean and remove oil once it has migrated to the shoreline or beaches. Surface Washing Agents are primarily used on solid surfaces and objects though if they are non toxic, they can be used on plants and or animals. These products are the final line of defense in the abatement of oil spills (according to the EPA's NCP: Definitions - 40 CFR 300.5). Surface washing agent is any product that removes oil from solid surfaces, such as beaches and rocks, through a detergency mechanism and does not involve dispersing or solubilizing the oil into the water column.

Overview
G-MARINE(tm) OSC-1809 Surface Washing Agent is a unique blend of derived water based and ultimate biodegradable ingredients specifically formulated to quickly emulsify and encapsulate fuel and oil spills. These plant derived ingredients are processed to form a colloidal micelle whose small particle size (1-4 nanometers) enables it to penetrate and breakdown long chain hydrocarbons bonds in oils and holds them in a colloidal suspension when mixed with water. Once oil has been suspended in a nano-colloidal suspension, there is no reverse emulsion as the oil becomes water soluble.
Application
Product may be applied to any surface for removal of oils. Select proper dilution depending on oil type and material surface prior to application. For treatment of large areas, properly diluted product may be applied by spraying with pressure washer, portable fire pump or any other suitable pump with seawater or freshwater suction that is equipped with chemical inductor or feed pump. For small areas, properly diluted product may be applied with scrubber, mop, cloth or damp sponge. Apply liberally, adjusting dilution on site as necessary
Dilution
For heavily weathered oil on rocks, dilute product 3:1 (3 parts water to 1 part product). For heavily weathered oil on beaches/sand, dilute product 5:1 (5 parts water to 1 part product). For tar balls, no dilution is necessary and apply product directly at full strength. For removing oil from vegetation, dilute product 10:1 to 20:1 (10/20 parts water to 1 part product). For removing oil from wild life, dilute product 100:1 (100 parts product to 1 part product). Product may be diluted with either salt water or fresh water. Warmer waters (greater than 78 degrees F) and/or good agitation during application will require less product.
Instructions
Best results are obtained by allowing diluted solution to soak for at least 30 minutes to soften the oil deposits. Reapplication may be necessary in severely contaminated areas. When using a sprayer, apply diluted product at mid pressure (approximately 100 PSI) and adjust pressure and angle of the hose to achieve optimum results.
Special Handling & Worker Precautions
Non-Flammable (DOT: Non-Hazardous), no special requirements.
No personal protection or exposure controls necessary. As defined by OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard, this product is non-hazardous with no evidence of adverse effects. Product can be safely and satisfactorily used to clean animals and water fowl without danger to the health of the animals, birds or human helpers.
Storage
Optimum storage is 50 degrees F to 98 degrees F (140 degrees F maximum continuous for up to 5 days and 35 degrees F minimum). Product may separate upon freezing at or below 25 degrees F as product begins to thaw. Mix product with agitator or shake well until product becomes homogenous
